So you want to find an Online Diet Program?
Finding an online diet program is much easier that it used to be. With the explosion of resources on the web, we can now find valuable, safe information to help us with our weight loss. That being said, however, we can also find some horrific, misleading info that, if followed, can be very dangerous. I am just like you…I was tired of being fat and obese and feeling tired all the time and I wanted to find some good, quality information. I had dieted over 30 times in my life…obviously I had gotten reasonably good at losing weight…my problem was keeping the weight off, and making the lifestyle changes permanent.
Go from Online Diet Programs to Help Me Lose Weight
So I spent some time looking at various sites that offer online diet programs, both free and paid. The paid services tend to fall into either meal plans, or subscriber sites. Please don't consider me an expert on these...I will tell you if I have tried any of them, or if any of my readers have told me about them. Also, in a few weeks, I will have a form that you can fill out to let me know YOUR feedback about different online diet programs. If you like it and are willing to share why, I want to get that information out to people. (Please be legit - this is not for affiliate programs - I will have a place for that later.) Now, I used a very scientific method for listing these programs...I did a Google search (probably like you did to get here!!). If I found a lot of the same kind of links (and they weren't just affiliate ad sites), I did further research on them. Remember, this site is a continual work in progress. If you if have some diet programs, online or off, that you think people should know about, let me know!!! I want to get the word out for people. My goal is to have something that will work for EVERYONE.
Diet Trends to Watch
I have noticed a sincere trend in diet plans to lose weight: carb sensitivity. Since the advent of Atkins, then the South Beach diet and the Zone, more people are having more success when they understand the consequence of eating so many starches. I am in no way advocating any particular diet plan for weight loss, though an analysis of my own eating plan that I followed to lose weight, (and pretty much follow now) is considerably lower in processed & refined carbohydrates, and much higher in whole foods (fruits, vegetables, legumes.) I feel it is most similar to tim Ferriss’ slow-Carb diet, except I do eat a couple of pieces of fruit each day. To support these diet trends, I am also noticing that when I stop eating with a sensitivity to carbs, I feel bloated, more tired and generally lethargic. I use my body as a guinea pig all the time, and less processed carbs works for me. (Also, and I will follow this up in my food addiction section, I find the hardest food to break the habit from is processed carbs…and my individual findings are also replicated in studies. Hmmmmm)
Spark People
This site seems like a fun, helpful community. It boasts of over xyz members, and it is completely free of charge to people - which I like. It states it is the largest diet and fitness site in America, and it even has apps for Iphone, Android and Blackberry. You can track your calories, your movement and touch base with friends. In fact, i make no money for recommending this site to you...and I am a member too. I like the interactive-ness of the site, the energy and the information is very, very sound.Come back soon for more Online Diet Programs.
